Our Patient Showcase

Patient: Tupper Jones

Dr. Wolf:   Tupper, you’re an Independent Associate of Pre-Paid Legal Services. What is Pre-Paid Legal Services?
Tupper Jones:   Think of Pre-Paid Legal Services like an insurance that protects two of your most valuable assets: Your IDENTITY and your LEGAL RIGHTS! These services are provided by a 36 year old NYSE company with a nationwide network of high quality law firms and the #1 forensic investigators in the world to restore people’s stolen identities.
Dr. Wolf: What are some of the benefits of becoming a member of Pre-paid Legal Services?
Tupper Jones: Surprisingly inexpensive access to top law firms across the United States. For example, we have telephone consultations, letters and phone calls on our behalf, contract reviews and most important, your will to protect your family and your estate– as well as lawsuit and tragic accident protection and much more. One feature that I really like is our Legal Shield that provides 24/7 emergency access.
Dr. Wolf: Identity theft is becoming more rampant in our society. Why is it better to protect your identity before something bad happens?
Tupper Jones: Identity theft is not well understood in our society. In addition to financial identity theft, identity thieves can commit crimes, have medical procedures – drugs and operations, drive automobiles while drunk or on drugs and work at a job… all in your name. The consequences to victims are life-damaging and may take years to resolve. Our plan includes complete identity restoration.
Dr. Wolf: I understand that most people can go into their own home-based business as an Associate of Pre-paid Legal Services and derive residual income that can be passed on to their family members. Can you briefly describe how that works?
Tupper Jones: Pre-Paid Legal actually has several kinds of income:

  1. Income from direct sales – sales that the associate makes, paid in a one year advanced commission.
  2. Override income – overrides from sales others make in your organization. This is like being a “broker” and works the same way as an insurance broker overriding the sales of the insurance agents.
  3. Residual income – After the initial one year advanced commission debits out, the associate keeps getting paid year after year for the life of each membership.

Since the business is actually owned by the associate – it’s inheritable… so the residual and override income keeps paying your estate year after year! For those who want to build financial security – and help people protect their families… this could be a good choice.

Dr. Wolf: What’s the easiest way our patients can get more information about Pre-Paid Legal Services and/or starting their own at-home business that pays residual income for life?
Tupper Jones: Give me a call at 623-910-6474 for an appointment. Since many of the concepts of access to the legal system and identity theft protection are misunderstood – my favorite way to introduce Pre-Paid Legal is to sit down with people to discuss it – and bring perspective to it and answer their questions.

We also have DVD’s, magazines, professional business briefings and luncheons in Phoenix and across the country – and of course, they can visit my website at www.TupperJones.com.

Dr. Wolf: Compared to other dental offices you’ve been to, how would you describe your experience at Majestic Dentistry?
Tupper Jones: Dr. Wolf, you and your staff at Majestic Dentistry have a more personal touch and you’re very interested in your patients. First of all – your expertise and use of technology is among the best. But also, I really appreciate your follow up phone calls to make sure everything is alright after a dental visit.
Dr. Wolf: How has your life changed since you’ve been a patient at Majestic Dentistry?
Tupper Jones: I am taking better care of my teeth and gums. I neglected my teeth in terms of regular dental care for several years… but with your help and patience with me, I am getting my teeth back to better oral health. But also important, I feel I have developed a valuable friendship with you and your wife, Annette.
Dr. Wolf: What would you say to a person who is thinking about choosing a new dentist?
Tupper Jones: If you want a dentist who is an expert in dentistry – and also cares very much about all of his patients, both in their dental health and in keeping them in touch with other valuable services that can help them in their lives… go to Dr. Wolf without delay!
Dr. Wolf: Thank you Tupper, I appreciate you and I really appreciate all the benefits I get from being one of your clients.

Val & Sherry’s Hygiene Happenings

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month

The American Dental Association has designated February as National Children’s Dental Health Month. It’s unfortunate that many American children do not receive adequate dental care. Tooth decay is the most prevalent chronic childhood disease.* Many children do not visit the dentist regularly and over 51 million hours of school are lost each year due to dental problems.* It’s a great time of year to think about your children’s oral health and schedule their regular dental visits for 2009.

Kids Health Tips

Children learn best by example! Have your child watch you brush and floss your teeth.  You will be showing them that you value oral care.  Below are some other oral health tips for children, small and large.

Babies

  • Bedtime bottles should only contain water. Milk, formula and juice all have sugars that work on the tooth surface overnight, inviting decay.
  • Don’t neglect cavities in baby teeth, even though they are not permanent. Early cavities can cause pain and are a predictor of future oral health problems.

Toddlers

  • Learn to spit. (Toothpaste, that is.) Children should brush with a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, and are ready for fluoride once they have learned how to spit after brushing.
  • Sippy cups – The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry now recommends that sippy cups contain only water unless it is mealtime. Just as with bottles, sipping sugary juices or milk over time prolongs exposure to the teeth.
  • Another caution: be sure that children never walk while sipping. If they take a tumble, the cup mouthpiece can injure the mouth or teeth.

Young Children

  • Supervise children when they brush their teeth and as they learn to floss.  Willingness aside, they might not have the manual dexterity to do a thorough job until they are 6 – 8 years old. Coaching goes a long way toward setting healthy habits that last a lifetime.

Older Kids and Teens

  • Mouthguards are recommended for many activities, not just contact sports. Ask your dental professional which kind is best, and make sure that the coaches reinforce mouthguard use during all practices and games.
  • Gum with xylitol. Sugarless gum is a good choice for those who chew because it increases saliva flow, helping to prevent cavities.  Gum sweetened with xylitol is preferred because this natural sweetener (from birch trees) also has antibacterial properties that help protect against decay.
  • Orthodontics – fluoride rinse provides extra protection for children with braces and helps clean hard-to-reach places.
  • moking – It’s worth talking to teens about the oral health problems that smoking brings – bad breath, stained teeth, receding gums, mouth sores and even wrinkles from puffing. Not very glamorous.
  • Smokeless tobacco also called "chew" "plugs" or "dip" is not a safe alternative to cigarettes.  It has more nicotine and can be a very addictive habit – nationwide, more than 1 in 7 high school boys use some form of smokeless tobacco (American Cancer Society). It can cause mouth sores, oral and pancreatic cancer, bone deterioration, tooth loss, staining and bad breath.
  • Oral Piercings – Tongue or lip piercings are magnets for infection, pain and swelling. "Mouth jewelry" can chip or crack teeth or damage fillings. And excessive drooling? Definitely uncool.
