Having A Successful Scrapbooking Class

When teaching a scrapbooking class, you may think that it is a fairly simple operation. You rent the space, bring your supplies, get people to come, and off we go. However, it may not be that simple.

Whenever you’re dealing with people, you can always expect the unexpected. The human dynamic always comes into play when dealing with a room full of people. Even though we’re dealing with the teacher/student relationship, you can’t always count on an attentive, focused class. With that being said, there are a few tried and tested things you need to keep in mind to be successful scrapbooking instructor.

First and foremost, be prepared. Review your class materials the night before so they are fresh in your mind. Have a checklist of everything that you need to take along to a class. Show up early and have the room set up before people arrive. Students feel most comfortable with order, so this will give you a leg up.

Be enthusiastic. Even if you are feeling sluggish or having a bad day, you need to always be enthusiastic and smiling during your classes. Let your students catch your excitement about scrapbooking and your job will be easier.

Be personable. Try to make eye contact and/or talk to each and every person in your class. Keep an eye out for anyone that may need extra attention and be willing to offer help to them if needed.

Always thank everyone for coming to class. Remember, people have many work, family, and entertainment demands on their time – they don’t have to come to your class. Have evaluations forms that can be filledout and use them to improve any future classes.

Take some of the money you earned and send out personal, hand written Thank You cards to all the students who attended your event.  Since you’ll probably be hosting other classes, they’ll remember your personal touch and are more likely to come back for more classes.

If you remember these tips, you can always be assured of having full attendance for all of your scrapbooking classes.

Picking the Right Car Service When Traveling

Traveling could be a really relaxing or a Stressful experience. Its a good way to get out from all the hassles of life and enjoy the beautiful places and cultures even when traveling for business. To make it an enjoyable and a fun experience its always wise to plan ahead for the obstacles that could come your way and make it living hell. One of the biggest problems that could come are from your transportation. A delayed or canceled flight, a late taxi, horrible and obnoxious drivers, lost baggage etc.

  Here I’ll tell you about picking the right ground transportation company to make your traveling experience a little more enjoyable. The first thing I would recommend is to go through and look at their website. It doesn’t have to be prettiest or best looking. Look to see if they have any testimonials or reviews. A good place to do that is Google maps. Don’t let the price be your main factor in picking a company, remember you get what you pay for. A lot of companies will give you ridiculously low prices and with that comes bad service, rude drivers, rude dispatchers and so on…If the company doesn’t answer your call, leave a message because a lot of times they could be on another line with a customer.

  After you think you see a prospecting company, call the number they provide you with and get a quote, even though most of them will have exact pricing online, you should still call them and see who are the people behind the pages are. Things to look for are, friendly and knowledgeable people. If you get a rude dispatch just think of who your driver is going to be. A lot of times unexpected things could happen and the dispatch is the person you are going to have to call to resolve those, In a already stressful moments the last thing you need is to have a rude person yelling at you over the phone.

  Reserve you transportation ahead of time. I can’t stress this enough. Even the best companies could be late because there are so many things that could happen on the road to delay them. If you need to leave at a certain time just reserve your ride to be there fifteen minutes earlier. I have seen people make reservation that left them 15 minutes to get through Airport security and on the plane, and what do you think? They blamed the taxi for not getting them there on time. Once you make a reservation, request to get a confirmation number, make sure they have your correct contact number and that you have theirs. If you decide to cancel or your plans change call the company and cancel the reservation because a lot of companies require you to provide your credit card just in case there is a NO-SHOW. If you fail to notify them, they will charge your credit card for the full price.

  I’ll tell you a little secret on getting good luxury transportation for the price of regular, old dirty cab. Look for “for-hire” companies. Those are flat rate by reservation only companies. The thing is that most of those companies are smaller then the city cabs, and thus they are able to provide nicer more luxurious vehicles and more personalized service for the price of a regular cab. With for-hire companies you pay for the car and not how many people are traveling with you or how much time you drive with them, That way you don’t have to worry that the driver is taking an advantage of you by taking the longest routes possible just to make an extra buck.

  Follow these tips and your trip should be much more enjoyable. Remember, Read the reviews, Call them, Make a reservation ahead of time, look for “for-hire” flat rate companies and have a way of them reaching you. Good Luck and Have fun on your trip!

Are You Addicted To Google Adsense?

Some Google Adsense publishers have let this simple form of making money online take over their lives. 100’s of hours are spent by these people Split test Adsense, changing and manipulating, all in the hope of making enough money to tell the boss “I’m leaving”.

54% of all Google Adsense publishers admit addiction to click income. A recent online study conducted by a small group of Google Publishers found that 54% of all Adsense publishers where addicted to the income potential of Googles Pay Per Click system.

It was also found that some publishers were so addicted they where checking their Adsense statistics up to 50 times per day.

Google Adsense is a system where individuals who own content rich website’s can earn money by placing small targeted ads within the content of their website.

The ads can be customised to fit within the scheme of the website and some successful publishers can earn in excess of $200,000 per month.

One publisher stated that her addiction started the day she placed the Adsense code into her html code. “I was introduced to Adsense by my boyfriend, who makes around a $1000 a month”. She went on to say that she doesn’t blame Google for her addiction, but the fever in which forums and blogs promote the fact that anyone can become rich with this scheme inspired her to keep adding pages and checking her stats.

Kate, did state that she was earning a reasonable amount of money from Google Adsense, but told us she also spent a considerable amount of money on scripts, ebooks and promises of gaining all you would ever want to know about Adsense, from forum gurus claiming they had made their fortunes and where willing to share their secrets if you deposited $97 into their PayPal account.

Rags to Riches in 51 Days
Another publisher I spoke to told me his addiction had made him a rich man in 51 days. “I was browsing the net on October the 15th last year and came across a website that had a photo of a guy holding a Google cheque for nearly $200,000 dollars. Under the picture it stated that this was just a 1 month pay check from Google. Lights and bells went off in my head as I thought, Man, this is what I have been looking for”.

David, had been dabbling in online money making schemes for about 6 years and to date had not been very successful. But he did have 3 website’s which had 1000’s of visitors to them and after reading all he could on the subject, David placed 2 small Adsense ads on each page of his 1000 page website. “I didn’t sleep that night. I was so excited, I checked my stats every 10 minutes all night” he said. Just when he was about to give up for the night, David did his final stats check. “It was 5.50am exactly and I nearly fell off my chair. 1000 impressions, 98 clicks and a total of $18 income. I couldn’t sleep that day as I checked my stats every 15 minutes and watched the income rose to over $58 for the day. I was addicted to this thing, this scheme was going to make me rich and I wasn’t going to miss a minute of it” David said.

David had gone from $32 in his Bank account to over $6,700 in just 51 days. He had checked his stats on average 60 times per day and had spent more than 612 hours during that 51 days optimising his sites and adding content. David also admitted just like Kate that he had spent quite a bit of his profits on “how to” books, but stated that it was money very well spent.

“I am addicted to Google Adsense” Kate told me, ” but what better addiction could you have than earning money, while doing something you love”.

Help! How do I stop dog barking?

So you want to stop dog barking? Well all dogs bark, it’s their method to communicate a message. Dog barks for different reasons: to greet, to alert, out of boredom, to attract attention or when they are excited.
 
 Even though some barking from is okay, too much barking is surely annoying, especially for your neighbors and finally leading to complains. The easiest way to stop a difficult barker is to control his barking while you are at home, So here is what you need to do:
 
 1. Set up a condition where your dog will always bark. For example, you can request somebody to ring your doorbell or knock on your door.
 
 2. When your dog charges to the door and start to bark noisily, move toward your dog, grab his collar and give the command “quiet” but without shouting on him.
 
 3. If your dog stops barking, commend and reward.
 
 4. When your dog continues barking, shut his mouth with your hand, wrap your fingers around his muzzle (use both hands if needed), and give the command for your dog to keep quiet. Commend if your dog stops barking.
 
 Most dogs would be able to learn the “quiet” command with repeated training like this. Set up similar situations to “lure” your dog to bark and repeat training whenever possible.
 
 The most times you train him to stop barking the more your dog will understand and not bark.
